MATERIAL SELECTION FOR MEDICAL PRODUCT PRODUCTION IN A POST-PANDEMIC WORLD

Date and Start Time: Thursday, June 11th, 2020 - 10:00 AM (Pacific Time)

Program Description:

With the COVID-19 pandemic, there’s been renewed interest in Antimicrobial Masterbatches and ESCR (environmental stress cracking resistant) Materials for immediate part design and production of Medical components. The challenge of selecting a material for product production does not end once the new material has been qualified and validated. To help ensure that each part produced continues to deliver on its promise, it's important to also consider the product life after validation. In this session we will review key factors and considerations for design, development, validation, commercialization and compliance using materials that can withstand the harshest of today's hospital environments and cleaning solutions. Participants will come away with a greater understanding of the many important aspects involved in selecting the right materials, including critical performance criteria for their medical application.
